Jaguar Repair: speedometer, trip odometer, speedometer

My speedometer works in terms of registering the speed but the mileage counter does not work wither on the mileage counter or the trip odometer.  Is this problem related to the transducer or the speedometer itself?  Any way to fix it?

Hi Bill,
The transducer sends a signal to the speedometer and to the trip computer and cruise control. There are not two signals sent so if the speed is read, then the signal is sent and the speedometer itself is at fault. I have never tried to go into a Jag speedo. Depending on what year car you have, it may be better to try to find a used speedo.
