Jeep Repair: 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 Starting problem, jeep cherokee sport, amp fuse

Question
Thanks for viewing question: car very low on gas and would not start in driveway; think wife attempted to start quite a few times before realizing low fuel situation.  Added 4 gallons of fuel and still could not get firing.  Checked 20 amp fuse and swapped relays in PDC ... not firing still.  Checked fuel rail valve for fuel with ignition key on ... small amount of fuel discharged but no "flow".  Do not hear any audible noise of fuel pump when key is turned to on.  Tried poor man's prime and still no fire.  Will call AAA and take to service shop ... what steps should I advise them to take before assuming the fuel pump is fried?  Also, is there $200 difference in quality between Napa, Bosch, or Delphi replacement fuel pump assemblies?  Thanks so much.

Answer
Since the vehicle has already been taken to a repair shop for diagnosis, it's out of yours and my hands. I'd advise you not to try and advise them in any way though, for obvious reasons. Nor would I presume to offer any advise since I don't have enough information or hands on time with the problem you're having. As far as the cost difference between different part suppliers all I can say is that you get what you pay for.
