Jeep Repair: radiator hose(s) for 1995 Jeep Cherokee, leaking radiator, heater hoses

Question
Hello Russell,

I notice that my jeep was leaking radiator fluid from one of the hoses.  I had that replaced and I noticed that the radiator had two hoses going to the back of the engine, connecting to a junction.  This has other hoses leading to other places.  Do you know what that junction is called? Is it standard?  I have never seen a hose setup like this.  I noticed that it is leaking now.  Should I replace all the hoses, or just this junction?  Please advise.  Thank you.

Answer
The radiator should have only two additional line/hoses attached to it. These would be for the transmission cooler if it's equipped with an automatic transmission. If there are other hoses attached to the cooling system other than the radiator inlet, outlet and heater hoses (which run between the engine and firewall) they would something that has been added. In which case, I cannot help you. And just for clarification, what engine/transmission combination is in the vehicle?
