Jeep Repair: Parking brake cable snapped on Grand Cherokee 2002, grand cherokee 2002, parking brake cable

Question
How do I replace the parking brake cable on my Jeep Greand cherokee laredo 2002? The cylindrical piece on the end of the cable which comes up through the floor board and connects to the parking brake lever snapped off. I have the replacement cable but am not sure if there are any special concerns or "tricks" involved with installing it.

Thank you.
