Jeep Repair: hard start like other person 0n 8/4, crank sensor, performance complaints

Question
I have a 94 2.5ltr wrangler.  Over the last 6 months harder and harder to start after sitting.  worst in cold and 1st thing in morning. Tuned up extra, replaced couple of sensors.  No luck . Go to dealer and they said most likely crank sensor or cam sensor.  replaced crank sensor last night no change.  Cam sensor in distributor? Replace distributor?  Codes bad a/c clutch ( no a/c) and another I can't find a listing for in my book or scanner book. keyed and scanned.

NO: 18-34-95
SUBJECT: Intermittent Engine Miss and/or Rough Idle Or Hard Start/No Start
DATE: Dec. 15, 1995
NOTE: THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.5L, 4.0L OR 5.2L ENGINE BUILT PRIOR TO 04-01-94 (MDH 04-01-XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Intermittent engine miss and/or rough idle, or hard start/no start may be experienced.

DIAGNOSIS:
This condition may show NO fault codes and may mislead the technician into diagnosing this problem as being related to a base engine component malfunction, such as stuck lifters or valve train problems.

If the vehicle is brought in for service with vehicle performance complaints (rough idle, engine miss), and the DRB scantool does not show any fault codes, check ignition cables for the date code of 1st quarter 1994 (1-94) or earlier.

If the vehicle is brought in for service with a hard start or no start condition, secondary voltage output should be checked using an ignition scope. A bad wire would have a high voltage reading (for voltage specifications refer to the appropriate service manual) If a high voltage is found, check ignition cables for the date code of 1st quarter 1994 (1-94) or earlier.

The date code will appear as follows:

NOTE: DATE CODING IS DONE QUARTERLY ON WIRES. EXAMPLE IS GIVEN BELOW.

MOPAR ELECTRONIC SUPPRESSION GX 1-94 AATH

GX = Material Code

1-94 = Date Code - Represents the 1st Quarter of 1994

AATH = Vendor Identification

NOTE: IF THE IGNITION CABLES ARE FOUND TO BE DATED THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1994 (1/94) OR EARLIER, THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH CABLES DATED 2ND QUARTER (2/94) AND LATER.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Replace all wires by referring to appropriate service manual, Group 8D Ignition System.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.

Refer to the Labor Operation Time Schedule Manual for the time.
