i need to replace the headlight switch in my 1998 jeep cherokee sport.  i have the switch but i would like to have the schematics or details on how to pull the dash and with out tearing it to pieces.

Hello Paul,

  The headlight switch failure on the Cherokee is a common fault. The tend to over heat when they get older. As far as replacement goes, it takes about 30 mins for the job. You will just need a philips head screw driver, to remove any screws holding the dash pannel in place. Also it will probably have a few metal spring clips holding it on, just pull the pannel straight off once all of the screws are out. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
