Land Rover Repair: Anti-locking cutoff switrch 2000 Land Rover D2, door latch, engine fuel
QuestionI can't lock my Rover remotely. The locks immediatly open again and even maually they open later in the day automatically. I assume it is the impact switch under the hood but have done everything to reset it. I still have engine, fuel and still can't lock it remotely. Any suggestions?
AnswerUsually this problem is caused by a failed latch in one of the doors. The place to start is the driver door latch. The way you diagnose it would be to disconnect each latch (one at a time) and lock the car. When you disconnect the latch that's causing the trouble the car will stay locked.
