Land Rover Repair: gearbox fault and battery issues, battery drain, charging system

hi john, i have been having issues with my range,2000. the gearbox fault just came on a couple of days ago and the battery has been acting up. i'm not sure if they are the same problem and i don't know what i should do to check which is the major problem to try first. by the way i have had to jump my car since the gearbox fault light came on.

The gearbox fault often appears when the battery goes dead.  It may mean there's a problem or it may be an artifact of the battery trouble.  I'd suggest you solve that first.  If you don't have any luck locally you may want to bring the truck to Robison Service - we are less than two hours away from any point in RI.

If you have to jump the car that suggests there is a battery drain, a weak battery, or a charging system problem.  Or you could have several things at once.
