Land Rover Repair: indicator stalk on 1990 Range Rover, indicator position, turn indicator

Question
When moved up to the LH turn indicator position the indicator stalk will not stay in place.

When moved down to the RH indicator position it stays in place until the turn of the wheel clicks to release.

I've removed the cover on the steering steering column and can see no obvious problem.

Steering wheel aapears to be centred correctly.

Answer
Hi Greg,

you just have to replace the indicator stalk switch on your RR. Must have just worn down and has no more resistance.

I think there are aftermarket parts you can buy otherwise stay with the OEM and pay a bit more.

Best of luck,
