Land Rover Repair: Panel lights, electronic transmission control, urgent attention

I have a Disco 2 automatic and this morning two green lights on the dashboard marked M - S I noticed were flashing. Also the D for drive also flashed. I have never noticed this before does this need urgent attention?

The flashing lamps signal a problem with the vehicle's electronic transmission control.  If the lamps continue to flash the next time you start the truck I suggest you seek service.  A Land Rover workshop can read the stored faults and advise you what service is indicated.  The mere presence of the lights does not suggest any particular course of repair; it's merely an indication that there are fault codes stored within the system and the transmission may no longer shift gears correctly as a result of the fault
