Land Rover Repair: Range Rover, 2.5 deisel, s reg, eas system, rangie

Question
This is my Father's car and he has had the suspension changed to springs all round, but the 20 mph sign lights on the dashboard, he has sent it to several mechanics, who do not seem to be able to sort this problem out, I wonder if it could be to do with the height sensors that controlled the suspension , prior to it being changed to springs all round, any help would be appreciated, as the car is in very good condition otherwise?

Answer
Hi Philip,

there may be a fix.  Not sure how the EAS was modified on your Rangie, if at all, when your Dad's Rangie was converted to shock/coil.  Some kits have a 'module' that takes care of the EAS and those pesky messages, others have wiring tricks to by-pass EAS.  Both simply put the EAS system into manual mode. You'll have to investigate how the EAS was tricked for your Rangie conversion.

Here is a website that shows how to affordably by-pass EAS with just some simple wires and tools:

If you are not a hands-on owner, check this site out for modules your indy shop can purchase:
