Land Rover Repair: FUEL/GAS smell inside the cabin, fuel gases, vent system

Question
QUESTION: LR3 2009 (V8 HSE, petrol)
driving on a highway (100 KM per hour) with AC on (w/ or w/out the air circulation) is perfect, but once the window is open while driving, a gas / gas fuel smell starts filling the cabin. worthy to note, there is no smell when the car is parked and engine is running, neither if I am driving at 30-40 KM per hour (unless the smell was already there when coming from the highway)

maintenance team at local dealer checked the catalytic converter, the canister (for possible fuel inside it).... but I don't trust what they are doing... I have read something that has to do with the breather pipe.

any ideas??

ANSWER: Usually odors in the cabin at speed come from a leak in the exhaust system, or  significant oil leak under the hood causing oil vapor to be pulled in by the ventilation

QUESTION: But it's not from ventilation system!! And sure smells like fuel gases... Under the car there are zero leaked oils.

I tried smelling around on the outside and the same seems to be from the rear end

Answer
If the smell is raw (unburnt) gas, you should look at the fuel filler neck and the fuel tank vent system.  Otherwise, if it's exhaust you smell, the exhaust is probably the culprit.  Is the vehicle modified in any way?  Sometimes body mods cause gases to be drafted back inside
