Land Rover Repair: choking off power, oxygen sensor, catalysts

Question
Is it possible for the CAT'S to choke off power to the motor when starting and excellerating? I turned the idle up to get it to start but it still sputters once in a while and idles low from time to time. I think my CAT'S ARE COMPLETLY PLUGGED AND CHOCKING OFF MY POWER. Is this a possibility?

Answer
Catalysts can clog and choke off the engine.  The way to test is by removing a front oxygen sensor and measuring the pressure inside when the engine runs.  A normal cat won't have any pressure at all.  A clogged cat will immediately build pressure and choke the engine.
