Land Rover Repair: no power in one cylinder head., land rover service, test instructions

Question
i have a 2001 v6 2.5 gs landrover freelander.
i have put a new engine into my car due to the old one which is gone.
the mechanic told me that there is no power in one cylinder.
he said if you start the car, its starts alright but there is no full power in both cylinder heads. there is power in only one.
up till now nobody have able to find the problem. he thinks its the ecu.
he said an 150amps fuse was blown as well, but after changing it , still there is no full power in the engine.
he thinks its an electrical and ecu problem.
can you please help us find the problem.
thanks

Answer
Since you say this happened after swapping the engine my first advice would be to look for installation errors.  Presumably the car did not have this problem before, and careful review of what's been done should reveal the answer.  If you can't figure it out the next step is to buy a day's access to the Land Rover service support site ( www.landrovertechinfo.com ) and download the wiring diagrams and test instructions.

The ECU is not likely to be the problem.  From your description I'm afraid the mechanic you are using is in over his head, and that often leads to trouble.  It may be necessary to seek someone with the proper skills to work on this car, and it may be tough to get someone to take over a half-done task.

Good luck with your repairs!
