Land Rover Repair: Land Rover Discovery that overheats, land rover discovery, discovery tdi

Question
Good day

I have a Discovery TDI, that's just been serviced, radiator replaced last year, because of an overheating problem the van had and discoverd that the radiator needed replacing, Well i have been having continuous problems agian with the landy overheating, had it flushed, tested for head gasket leakage and the very next day the same problem...

My ref counter is not working and my speedometer is also not working, can this maybe be an electrical problem?

As when i drive over the mountain with my lights on the car then starts overheating, but as i am coming down and switch the lights off the temp gauge then go's down.

What is the problem?

Answer
There is an article called "diagnosis of overheating in Land Rovers on the Robison service website.  Look under service > land rover > advice.

Your description sounds as if the radiator is clogged, or the air passages are clogged with dirt, or the fan is not turning.

Good luck with it, and also check the Land Rover articles on my car blog.
