Toyota Repair: 2011 Toyota Rav 4, toyota rav 4, alloy rim

Question
I purchased a Rav4 on 9/1/11 with the upgraded alloy wheels package.I recently discovered that the full size spare has a steel rim.Is this standard practice? I never knew of shortfall prior to sale.I have the original sticker referencing "alloy wheels" The Manuel allows for a 5 tire rotation.A new alloy replacement rim costs $450.Does Toyota owe me a an additional alloy rim?Would the alloy rim fit under the spare cover? Please advise. Thanks

Answer
These are most likely dealer installed alloy rims or wheels swapped from another unit on to the one you bought, the factory alloy option comes with 5 alloy wheels, even if they were taken off from another in stock car (which is common practice) they should have swapped all 5 tires and wheels,so in my opinion they do owe you the spare alloy wheel, it may have just been an oversight at the dealer, I don't know but I would definetely persue this. Yes all factory option wheels fit inside the cover.
