Land Rover Repair: air suspension falure, range rover hse, piston ring

Hi,have got a range rover hse 4.6 97 reg,ive noticed that my compressor has been running a lot so i changed the filter. then the front left hand side dived to the stopper whilst driving along, next morning the front end would not lift at all but the back is fine. any ideas please.

Hi Barry,

You've probably got a leaky LF airspring(if not all 4), the air-compressor piston ring is probably worn out from the extra work of keeping up with the leaks.

On rovers older than '99 I always recommend a full overhaul kit, replace all the wear items in one go:
