Land Rover Repair: Differential, rear hubs, rear differential

Question
What are the steps in replacing the rear differential, on a 1991 Range Rover 3.9 V8 Classic? Thanks in adavance.

Answer
First, drain the rear axle.  Remove the 4 bolts (9/16ths each)from the rear prop shaft attached to the differential.  Remove the rear wheels.  Remove the 5 bolts from the center of the rear hubs on either side, allowing you to extract the half shafts from either side.  Remove the 9/16ths nuts, securing the differential.  With a good pry remove the unit.  Clean out any debris from the axle casing and fit the new diffential.  Don't forget to refill the oil.
