could you please tell me where the filler plug is on my automatic gearbox

The fill is on the side of the gearbox.  It's filled from under the car while running.  If you want to change it I strongly suggest you pay for a day's access and read the relevant section at www.landrovertechinfo.com

No special tools are needed.  I suggest Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.
