Land Rover Repair: Loose Steering, michlin tires, power steering pump

Question
Recently I purchased a 1999 Range Rover 4.6 HSE. First  I noticed that the steering seemed to be "loose".  Since, I have replaced the front sruts, steering dampener, Michlin Tires, it has been on the rack many times to be told the alignment is perfect and that the front end feels tight. While driving it wanders, and given the conditions it will schimy with a feeling of loosing control. I have heard rumor that there is an adjustment on the steering gear box? In addition, to check for a control valve on the power steering pump / ram of the power steering. Is this a problem you have encountered? Please advise..
Thank you,
Greg

Answer
I don't understand: "sruts", "schimy".

So, you said the steering wheels play too large?
That caused by these things:
- the travers support rod's mountings are playing
- the steering lower columns joints are wobbling
- or the steering-gear's play too big (that can be adjusted)

In centre stand of wheels how big the steering wheels play? Just the absolute easy play! If it's not bigger than 2-4 centimetres (10 degrees), than It's OK.
