I OWN A SMALL SHOP AND WORK PRIMARAILY ON GM CARS AND TRUCKS.I HAVE A 2000 LANDROVER DISCOVERY 2 IN THE SHOP WITH POOR ACCELERATION CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND WONT COMMUNICATE WITH ANY SCANNER IT SHIOW (error)CHECK CONNECTIONS AND TRY AGAIN.THE FUEL PUMP WAS CHANGED AT A SHOP LAST WEEK AND THE CAT CONVERTERS ARE OKAY,IT SEEMS TO BACKFIRE THRU THE INTAKE IF YOU ACCELARATE IT HARD.COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE ME ON THIS PLEASE I NEED SOME HELP ON THIS ONE.COULD IT BE TIMEING??? If the Rover won't communicate with your scan tool it's possible there is a problem with the car but it's just as likely your scanner and the Rover just are not compatible.

I suggest you refer the job to a properly equipped and qualified LR specialist.
