Land Rover Repair: 2002 Freelander Please Help, independent shop, hill descent control

Question
My TC(traction control) and Hill Descent Control warning lights are coming on sometimes.  They only stay on for just a few minutes and then will go off.  Do you know what this could be?  I am hoping it is something that can be fixed easily.  It doesn't seem to affect my freelander at all, it seems to be running fine otherwise.  I am going to bring it to my local dealer, but I wanted to get an opinion from someone who isn't in it for the money first.  Thank you for your help!

Answer
April, there are many possible causes of those lights being on.  The only way to know what's wrong is to conenct the Autologic or T4 test system and check it out.

If you don't like the dealer you may be able to find a qualified independent shop at www.rangerovers.net.

If you choose to look for an independent shop remember that they cannont service the ABS/TC system without those special testers.
