Land Rover Repair: discovery water leak, heater hoses, core plug

i have recently bought a second hand (m reg) tdi 200
and a serious water leak has arrisen from the rear of the cylinder head,ive checked the heater hoses and they are ok and ive bypassed the heater and the leak is still there, i cant get a visual on the exact location of the leak ,are there any other sources around there ,could it be a core plug or is it the cylinder head ? the water is running out the bottom of yhe bell housing.

Hi Willie,

sounds like a headgasket has blown.  Unless your equipped to do this, you'll have to count on the expertise of a LR mechanic.

Not too many problems like this from 200 series Disco's, but it can happen to anyone, I'm just sorry it happened to you so soon after buying the vehicle.
