Question
hi,i have a discovery 300tdi auto 1998,the came belt broke....i have taken of the rocker cover to find all pushrods bent and two rockers broken(both 3342)should i take head off and look at pistons and valves,i have been told that thay should be alright as the valves hit the middle of the pistons and very rarely damage anything?
  regards.............Gary

Answer
I agree with what you've heard.  The valves stick straight down so if they hit the pistons they go straight up and usually don't bend.  Change the rockers and pushrods and crank the motor.  If they move up and down smoothly they are probably not bent.
