Land Rover Repair: non-op a/c aux fans & brake lights, temperature gauge, brake job

Question
Concerning a 1996 4.6.  The electric a/c aux. fans do not
come on thus resulting in overheating.  I saw a post about
the temp sensor being incorrectly grounded creating this.,
could this be the case with mine and where is the location
of the ground?  Also, same truck, the abs, traction control,
and brake lights all flash on when the brakes are applied,
then they all immediately go off and stay off until the
brakes are reapplied and then the situation repeats. Any
ideas??  This first occured when the front pads were
replaced and pistons were pressed back into calipers.  Also
the brakes perform as they should from a driving
standpoint.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
The auxillary fans are controlled by the vehicle computers and the only test system that can force them on for diagnosis is the t4, found at dealers and a few independents.

With respect to the temperature gauge, the computers use the same sensors that operate the engine and the dash gauge, so if those work they aren't the problem.

As to the ABS light, the same test system can tell you what fault is occurring.

There is a possibility that one of your ABS sensors became unseated or damaged during the brake job if they were sloppy.  You might check that.

I'm sorry to report that there's not much home service for eithe rissue unless you want to guess and throw parts.
