Hello John;

My 1996 4 ltr, automatic Discovery has dropped two liners on the rear cylinders and there are pieces broken off of the bottom of 1 piston skirt......

I know you have written about this in the past.....

Can you offer some information on curing this problem (or point me to your articles) and can you elaborate on Land Rovers replacement block policy?

Who would i contact?  ps: I live in Canada

I have an article this past issue in the Rover News on repair of dropped liners.  Go to www.roversnorth.com and download the News.

Land Rover has no policy that I know of, at least in terms of helping you financially.  They can sell you a new short block, or you can fix that one per the method in the article.

With 2 damaged pistons a new short block is probably your best bet.
