Land Rover Repair: abs, code box location, obd ii scanner, engine faults

thanks i have a 1999 discovery series one and i think its a great vehicle. but a few questions. the old abs light came on and i know thats a common problem. i have two cd that are called rave and put out i think by land rover for the dealers. i ve reviewed  the problem and not satified with their answer. so iam open to any advice you can give me. the other thing is there's a small box that should be under the passeger seat that not there. insteead a c.d . player. did they relocate. it and where?

The box under the seat that you refer to for diagnostic codes was only used through model year 1995.

Your truck has an OBD II plug under the steering column for diagnostic connection.  You can read "check engine" faults with any OBD II scanner.

However, the ABS can only be diagnosed with one of the specialist Land Rover test sytems - T4 or Autologic.
