Lexus Repair: brake pads, old chevy truck, dot 4 brake fluid

Question
How difficult is it just to change the brake pads on a gs400? I've assisted with changing brake pads on a old chevy truck with my dad but never changed brakes on my own. Should I even attempt? I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I think. Please give me the basics to watch out for , thanks.

Answer
Disk brakes are disk brakes are disk brakes.
A monkey could do it with little training, it just takes doing it once, or twice to get use to it.
Keep the metal shims off the old pads & put them on the new if the new pads don't have any. And use brake anti-squeal on the pad back, shims, and pistons so it won't squeak.

Hawk HPS pads
Brembo BLANK rotors (No slotted, NO GOD DAMNED DRILLED ROTORS)
Dot 4 brake fluid

Be sure you bleed them good.
