Lexus Repair: lexus problems, surface shift, gear lever

Hello,
Lexus yr.96, the car will crank but will not go into gear, it's also making a sound, sounding like I keep pressing on the gas padel, is something stuck maybe?

Is the transmission slipping? If so stop driving (or attempting to drive) it immediately.
Change the transmission fluid Drive around the block afew times. Park on a level surface. Shift to all gear lever positions & let the engine idle. The transmission fluid should be a pretty bright red color & reach the top HOT mark on the dipstick.

Thats as best I can tell you. Your description doesn't have alot to go by.
