Lexus Repair: starter replacement, starter problem, hello bill

I OWN A 1997 SC400 AND AM HAVING STARTER TROUBLE.SOMETIMES WHEN I TRY TO START THE CAR IT JUST CLICKS.AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPS THE CAR STARTS.WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.WHERE IS THE STARTER LOCATED? WHAT IS INVOLVED IN REMOVEL AND REPLACEMENT?

Hello Bill, Well it sounds like a starter problem but I would start by checking the battery and connections. The starter is under the intake manifold and the manifold has to be removed to replace it. We charge about $850 for a new Lexus starter installed.
