Lexus Repair: 96 ES 300, competent mechanic, althought

Question
the antenna of my 96 ES 300 had been bent since i bought it a month ago. As you probably know, it is motorized, and it would move up and down, althought with some difficulty.  However, it broke off totally today, leaving only about a quater of the original length, and looking particularly tacky.  My question-  What needs to be done to replace it?

Answer
Hello Scott, I always suggest taking it to a competent mechanic. But if the cable inside the mast is still in one piece all you need to do is unscrew the cap at the base of the mast and turn the radio on and pull out the old mast. Then take your new mast and turn the radio off and feed it in.
