QuestionI think my fuel pump is gone.
I can't hear it pumping and can start engine by spraying aditive.
Question:
Do I have to remove the fuel tank to change fuel pump ?
If I decide to take it to a garage aprox how much would it cost ?
Is it a hard job to replace.
Note: Ive replaced fuel pumps before but they were easy to get at.

AnswerHello Dick, It would be the first fuel pump I have heard going bad on a ES300, but it could. I would try replacing the fuel filter first. Also while you have the filter fittings loose crank the engine and see if gas comes spraying out. It will be under about 60lbs of pressure so get ready to shut it off quickly. Fuel pumps can be a little bit of a pain being they are in the tank and it should cost about $600. Merry Christmas, Zak
