Lincoln/Mercury Repair: cruise control, 2000 lincoln ls, moving in the right direction

2000 lincoln ls cruise control will not engage. the light on the dash will not stay on and only once in a great while will the cruise engage. where do i start?

Hey Joe,

I would start at the output speed sensor. Especially if you are experiencing problems with your speedo. Befroe you go throwing parts at it I would have it scanned for DTC's. If there are any codes then this will get us moving in the right direction. Resubmit with the code values and we'll figure out what we need to do.
