Mazda Repair: air filter replacement, wd 40, filter replacement

Question
I have a 1998 626 4 cyl. dx I wanted to change air filter but I can't seem to figure out how to get the cabin top off. It appears that I should unfasten the clips and then slip the top off. However on one side of the top there are plastic lips (I don't know if I am describing correctly) that prevent the top from sliding out. I tried lifting up but it still won't come free.  Should be a simple procedure but for me it isn't.  Any suggestions would be greatly  appreciated.

Answer
what you do is un-clip it, hold the airbox and pull it up and out to slide it out of the slots,  it helps to lift it up on the drivers side.. then when you replace the filter, keep it tilted to get it to slide into the slots then push down. a lil wd-40 helps it
