Towing Issues: Towing crooks, mobile home park, tow truck driver

Question
I live in Riverside, California. I live in a mobile home park. My sister pulled in front on the house for 20 mins and was picking up stuff before they left to go on a cruse the next day, and it was pouring down rain. They were leaving and the car was not there. They thought it was stollen but the neighbor said the tow truck snuck up with the lights on, but they didnt knock on the door or anything. It sucks too right before christmas and my sisters purse was left in the car. There is one sign at the intrance that says no parking or cars will be towed but it doesnt say anything about the front yard being a fire zone, and the curbs aren;t painted. So many people that live here are soo fed up. I called The Manager, and he said when he sees cars parked in front of there house he calls the tow company and if other neighbors complain. IS this right for towing crooks to get away with practically steeling cars?

Answer
how can you consider it stealing when the manager calls them to have them removed.. They are doing the job they are asked to do ???  And as a tow truck driver I hate being lumped into the "CROOK" category... After all most all of the towers respond to calls for our services...

Ok that aside, most all laws say that tow away signs need to be posted at the entrances to the complex... Sounds like it was legal there...

Definitions of fire lanes are generally to allow the unimpeded movement of fire trucks down roadways and alleys..  They will be about 12 feet wide as a rule so that means most roads in apartment complexes and trailer parks are fire lanes..

As to them not knocking, ah they were called to do a job, why would the tow company do that and lose money...  In a real world the manager would warn people but it does not happen all the time...

If you and other tenants are tired of the problems other than moving the only thing you can do is find out who is the owner of the property and see if they will do anything regarding the managers actions...
