Mercedes Benz repair: 1989 190e 2.6 will not start, crankshaft sensor, engine cranks

Question
1989 190e 2.6 193k miles. New fuel-jectors (MBpro install 5/2010), new cap/rotor/wires (3/2010).  Car runs/ran great I parked for the night.  Unusually high humidity for my location that night - 93%.  Next morn Benz will not start, engine cranks, lights bright.  cranked many times 5-10 sec per try. needed to charge battery backup.  I work from home so I went to 94 chev work van, it started but took many tries. no probs with van since.  190 still will not start. This car for most part has been really good to me.  I m second owner bought used from relative.

Answer
try jumping your fuel pressure relay, it is pins 87 and 30 using a small piece of wire..to make sure you have fuel. But before you do that check if you have decent spark pull the #1 spark plug keep it on the wire and have someone crank the engine make sure the plug wire is touching the engine to ground it if no spark then you have a crankshaft sensor problem, plugs, rotor or distibutor cap problem. If it does have spark then jump fuel relay and hear for the pump buzzing by the fuel tank. i would try to put some gas down the throttle body and see if it starts.
