Mercedes Benz repair: 1983 380 SL wont start, fuel pump relay, system checks

Car turns over wont start. Are there any fuel system checks I can perform myself before having it towed to shop. Car was idle for a week.

first jump your fuel pump relay google your placement take a small wire and jump 87 and 20 or 30 I forget which one you will hear the fuel pump or a buzzing sound..If you hear no pump then your fuel pump is shot. Or just pour some gas down the throttle body take off air cleaner of course and try starting it if it starts then dies chances are your fuel pump went the way of the dodo
