In My 1988 260e there are console lights that stay on, we just replaced the alternator- and battery is probably ok-any suggestions?

Hey Jodi,  Sorry to say, but if you are having eletrical problems such as the one you have described, then the best thing to do is to have a certified MB technician diagnose the problem as it could be multiple different things. Unless you are very good with electrical schematics and have all the proper diagnostic tools, you should refer this to the dealership (not an independant shop)
