Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi engine shuts off, mitsubishi engine, computer god

My 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer engine shuts off or goes dead whenever i am using the air conditioner what could be causing this problem?

Paulette: I would check the belt that drives the ac, also sounds like maybe your compresser is bad, so when you kick on the ac, the compresser will not turn so it stops the belt from turning, the drive belt so the computer shuts off the car. You need to get that checked out. Get the car to a shop or dealership, explain your problem to them and have them check the drive belt, the compresser and the computer. God bless: Linda
