Mitsubishi Repair: oilpump balanceshaft rear bearing, galants, happy new year

Linda,I have a 93 Galant 2.0 sohc,I'm replacing the oilpump assembly and notice the looseness in the shaft.I got rear bearing ,but looking at the engine it seems like there was one never there.Am I missing sonething?

David: Are you doing this work with no repair manual? I don't do a lot of work on Galants, so I am sorry. But I would go going out and buying a repair manual for this car. Most parts stores have them and they will walk you through all kinds of problems, even with pictures. Haynes is the best one to get, less engines and more pictures. Well you need that repair manual to help you explain your problems. Hope this helps and Happy New Year: Linda
