Mitsubishi Repair: Factory Alarm, mitsubishi dealership, battery cables

I bought my Montero a year ago its a 1999. It didn't have the keyless entry when I purchased it. My alarm went off and I can't get it deactivated by pushing the red blinking light on the dash or by opening passenger door with my key. I have also took the battery cables off hoping to reset it. Please help my car won't start and I'm having to get a ride to work.

If you haven't checked already, look in your owners manual to see if they offer another way to disarm the factory alarm.  I'm not familiar with the factory alarm system on the Monteros.  You may also have luck contacting your local Mitsubishi dealership service department for advise to get it disabled.
