Mitsubishi Repair: transmission flush, transmission flush, 2004 galant

Question
Is there a specified time to do a transmission flush on a 2004 Galant?  We think a dealer is trying to pull a fast one because the car has given no sign of transmission problems.  I'm sorry that I do not  have the other info on the car. It is not my car.

Answer
Nancy,
Most Mitsubishis don't need a tranny flush until at least 30,000 miles.  The owners manual will also provide this information.  So I don't think it's necessary to have this done less there is other work on the car that requires the fluid to be replaced.  Though, if your car is still under warranty, and you're approaching the 30k mile mark soon, it may be a good idea to have the fluid replaced.  This will uphold the car's warranty.
Good luck!
