Mitsubishi Repair: 1994 Eclipse transmission, michael gee, transmission fluid

Question
I have a 1994 Eclipse, I bought it knowing the overdrive was out. I figured I could drive it for a little while as long as I was easy on it. Shortly after I bought it, the transmission started shimmying and it didn't want to shift up or down right. Then it got to where at certain times, I would pull out from a stop and it would pull at about 10 MPH and the engine would just rev up before finally kicking hard into gear. I've just changed the transmission fluid and filter, but then the same night it started acting up again. What can I do?

Answer
Michael: Gee guy I would love to send you something that would be helping you. But you in the same boat as my son, he too bought a car with the overdrive out. Thought being he only drives in town, it would last for a while but it isn't. The number one problem with him, as he loves the car to much and goes zipping around. I am not saying that is your problem, though. Your transmission needs to be overhauled. Being it is jumping into gear, shimmying and all that is a sign that it is going out. As long as you changed the transmission fluid and filter but it did not help then you will have to have it rebuilt or overhauled. Sorry wish I had better news for you. Hope this helps and good luck!
