Mitsubishi Repair: 95 eclipse w/fried computer module-5th time, electrical surge, headgasket

95 eclipse been sitting @the mechanic's garage for 6months.they cant figure out what keeps killing the computer module-have replaced it 5 times. All i know is the car's had a problem w/power since I bought it but didnt start blowing out the computer til it got hot and had to replace the headgasket-seemed to die right after I fill it w/gas.Help!

This sounds like a bad electrical connection; possibly a short near the battery that was caused when the engine overheated. My guess is that there is an electrical surge due to a poor ground in the harness for the computer, or a bad ground close to the battery.  If it has taken your mechanic 6 months and 5 computers and they still can't figured out the problem, it's probably time to find a new mechanic.
