HI, Anthony,
          my galant 97 model horn got stuck. it keeps honking until i removed the fuse. the local mechanic told i need to replace the whole unit. is that so? please reply. thanks a million

You may want to get a second opinion from another mechanic.  Your problem may simply be a short in circuit or stuck relay.  I'm not sure what your mechanic may be referring to as the whole unit, and if he didn't explain it thorough to you, that's another reason why you should seek out the opinion of another mechanic.
