Mitsubishi Repair: 95 eclipse wont start, throttle position sensor, vacuum leak

Question
I just put in a new long block in my 95 eclipse 2.0 non turbo and now i can't get it to start. I seems to be getting to much fuel in the throttle body. I have excess fuel vapor coming out and my plugs are wet. I have spark and the timing seems to be right. I tries to start but doesn't continue.

Answer
Scott: Your words the timing seems to be right. I think you have missed a timing mark, because the car trys to start but doesn't. You are getting stark, fuel and air. So did a car I worked on too, but it turned out after over three trys I finely got the timing right and she started. So check that timing again. Then could be your fuel pump pressure regulator is not working right and so to much fuel so the car is flooding it's self. Could be your throttle position sensor is weak or out. Or your computer could be weak or going bad. Or maybe a vacuum leak too. There are some ideas to check. I hope this helps and good luck!
