Mitsubishi Repair: warranty, forture, warrenty

Question
If a  car is under warrenty and is having mechanical
problems and you take it to the dealer who is
responcible for the repairs . What is to keep
the dealer from doing the repairs and saying the
problem was not covered by the warranty even if
in reality they were problems covered by the warranty ?
               Any help appreciated

If that's the case, a lawyer is required.  When a car is purchased, the manufacturer provides a basic warranty.  All manufacturers offer different warranties for different models.  Some last 3 years, some last 10 years, and some things are only covered for 1 year.  And if a time frame is not strict enough, manufactures than set mileage restricitions for warranty validations.  Some dealerships offer extended warranties which the manufacturer's warranty does not cover.

Either way, a warranty is a contract.  And like all contracts, they are written up by lawyers.  And usually, lawyers are the only ones that can fully understand those warranties.

So the answer to your question is 'nothing'.  A dealership can say whatever they want and charge you a small forture for repairs.  It's not legal for them to do it, but it does happen.  If you suspect it's happened to you, get a lawyer and have him/her review the warranty.
