Motorcycle Repair: Clutch cable replacement, clutch cable, cable replacement

Question
I have a 2008 Fatboy. May I have a procedure for clutch cable replacement, or a website where the information would be available.

Answer
Drain the trany fluid. Adjust the old cable so there is slack in it and remove it from the lever. Remove the derby cover and loosen the adjuster locknut. turn the adjuster outsward. Go to the other side and remove the outer tranny cover where the clutch cable goes in. Remove the cable from the clutch cable lever and then screw the cable out of the cover. Install the new cable into the outer tranny cover and install the cover. Go to the adjuster and turn it inward, just until it bottoms out, and then outward about 1/8 of a turn. Tighten the locknut and install the derby cover. Install the cable in the lever and adjust the cable so there is about 1/8 inch play in the lever. Put in the new tranny fluid.
Good luck and happy riding
