Motorcycle Repair: s&s motor vibration,compensator nut loosened up, clutch side, compensator

QUESTION: hi ,we have an 07 ironhorse with an s&s 111 in it,200 miles on it,compensator nut,come loose and took the stator with it,shaved the spline of the stator,we replaced the stator ,now we have a bad vibration,i took a dial indicator on the crank ,on clutch side,i know you should do it on cam side,well the primary cover was off,crank seems straight,but the compensator,is 800 thousands?,looks good like no damamge orgrind marks,?what is our vibration in it ,you can feel more when you give it allittle throtle in any gear,is it compensator,motor not shimmed right or what we have no idea anymore,no sense shot gunnin,thats why im asking you? please let us know your input, ps drive down road shut motor off no vibration,flywheel move? compensator?

ANSWER: Did you have the vibration before the nut cme loose?

QUESTION: we dont think so, we just finished putting it together!

Answer
When your nut came loose you might have damaged the compensator and its out of round. the only other thing it could be is the flywheels got knocked out of round, but that would really take a good hit, unless the nut on the flywheels was not tight already
