Motorcycle Repair: Honda cmx 250c, cmx, cbx

Hi.  My bike slipped into neutral while in 5th going 65mph on freeway.  Just
before, I had tightened the muffler crowns.  not sure if this had anything to do
with it.  Will not start now.  Engine doesnt even turn when I try to roll start.

CMX is not the same as a CBX, but in this case let me give you a few pointers.  I am assuming the engine severly over-revved.  Take one of the crankcase covers off and see if you can turn the engine over manually.  Or if you don't want to take anything apart, put it into 3rd or 4th gear and push the bike forwards and backwards, see if the engine turns and if it feels like you have compression.  It sounds like the engine is probably seized, there is no easy fix for that I am afraid.  Did you put it back into gear when the transmission slipped into a false neutral?  There should be no neutral near 5th...
